This page explains, in plain language, how Búzios360 may earn revenue while operating the editorial guide to Armação dos Búzios — and how that coexists with our duty of accuracy, usefulness, and honest labelling.
Some links and buttons may generate a commission for Búzios360 at no additional cost to you.
Búzios360 is a private media, listings, and lead-generation portal. We are not a travel agency, real estate brokerage, or official city government website. For general editorial criteria, see also our Editorial Policy and Terms of Use.
How Búzios360 makes money
To maintain guides, the map, multilingual listings, and contact forms, Búzios360 may receive revenue from several sources — always with identification when a commercial relationship affects presentation:
- Bookings and affiliate links — hotels, guesthouses, tours, and travel marketplaces may pay commission when you complete a booking or purchase after clicking a tracked link on the site.
- Sponsored placement and featured listings — partners may pay for visual priority on the map, in results, or in editorial blocks, with a sponsorship or paid-placement label.
- Leads and real estate referrals — qualified interest sent to licensed agencies or CRECI-RJ brokers may generate a referral fee or partnership payment when there is a formal agreement and contractual transparency.
- Partnerships and portfolio subscriptions — agencies and operators may pay for verified profiles, portfolio claims, or structured directory presence.
- Display advertising — banners or fixed slots on high-traffic pages, when offered, are identified as advertising.
- Data products — market reports or real estate briefings may carry a pilot or commercial fee as described in the offer.
We are in launch phase: not every model above is active on every listing yet. When a model is in use, we state it on the listing, on this page, or in the applicable partnership agreement.
Affiliate links
Booking buttons and links — for example to hotels, OTAs, tour operators, or experiences — may include tracking parameters that attribute commission to Búzios360 if you complete the transaction on the partner site.
- No extra cost to you — in general, the price charged by the provider is the same; commission is paid by the partner to Búzios360.
- Identification — when an affiliate link is active, we flag it on the listing or near the button (e.g. “Partner link” or a note in this policy).
- Provider responsibility — rates, availability, cancellation, safety, and service quality are solely the hotel’s, operator’s, or marketplace’s responsibility. Always confirm on the official site before paying.
- No obligation to click — you may find the same service directly on the provider’s website; our role is to help discovery and planning, not to force a booking channel.
Sponsored content
Articles, guide blocks, neighbourhood mentions, or listings may be sponsored when there is direct commercial payment for editorial presence.
- Mandatory labelling — we use visible labels such as “Sponsored”, “Sponsored content”, or “Paid placement” (or equivalent in the page language).
- Limited scope — sponsorship buys visibility and agreed format; it does not buy disguised positive editorial recommendation.
- Editorial review — even sponsored content passes accuracy, compliance, and usefulness checks; we refuse false or misleading claims.

Featured listings
On the map and in results, some listings may receive paid highlight or contracted priority — hotels, tours, properties, agencies, or brokers.
- Highlight ≠ best rating — commercial position does not mean the place is “the best” in Búzios; it means there is a visibility agreement.
- Visible badge — sponsored or featured listings show a label (e.g. “Sponsored”, “Featured”, “Highlighted partner”) distinct from purely editorial profiles.
- Verified partner — operators and agencies with a formal agreement may have identified status on the listing; that enables presence and leads but does not replace listing quality criteria.

Editorial independence
Commercial revenue may influence position or format when contracted and labelled — but it does not remove our requirement for accuracy, useful context, and honesty with visitors.
- Editorial ranking — guides, beach order, and curated recommendations follow criteria documented in the Editorial Policy; payment without sponsorship labelling does not buy editorial position.
- Conflicts of interest — team members disclose relevant ties; we do not write exclusive positive recommendation for a business we are part of without visible disclosure.
- Factual data — indicative prices, hours, licence numbers, and location come from a verifiable source or the responsible partner; sponsorship does not authorise invented facts.
- User priority — if usefulness and accuracy conflict with commercial interest, editorial policy prevails — including refusing or correcting inadequate sponsored content.
No fake reviews
Búzios360 does not publish invented reviews, fake star ratings, or fictitious testimonials from guests, buyers, or visitors.
- No fabrication — we do not create reviews attributed to real people who do not exist or have not consented.
- No paid opinion — partners cannot pay for positive editorial ratings presented as user reviews.
- Third-party content — when we cite aggregated reviews from external platforms (e.g. OTAs), we indicate the source and that we do not control the original content.
- Correction — if you spot misleading review content or wrong attribution, use the reporting flow below.
How to report a concern
If you believe an affiliate link is not identified, sponsorship is disguised as editorial, a featured listing is mislabelled, or there is misleading commercial information:
- Form — use the Contact page with reason “Commercial concern or report” or “Listing correction”.
- Email — write to [email protected] with subject Commercial disclosure.
- What to include — page URL, screenshot or description of the issue, and — if possible — evidence (contract, original ad, partner policy).
- Timeline — editorial triage on business days; mislabelling or possible Terms violations are prioritised.
- Outcome — we may fix labelling, adjust the listing, suspend a highlight, or explain in writing when there is no breach.
