Praia da Ferradurinha - Ferradura, Armação dos Búzios, RJ, 28951-000, Brazil

About

Ferradurinha Beach is one of the most beautiful and photographed beaches in Búzios. Small and sheltered, with about 100 meters of shoreline, it forms a cove with calm, clear and shallow water, surrounded by rocky formations and white sand — perfect for relaxed swimming and scenic views.

Sea conditions

The sea is usually very calm, especially on low-wind days. Under good conditions, the cove acts like a natural pool, making Ferradurinha one of the best beaches in Búzios for families with children and visitors who prefer gentle water.

Things to do

  • Swimming in shallow, protected water
  • Stand-up paddleboarding and kayaking
  • Pedal boating and floating
  • Snorkeling near the rocks on calm days
  • Landscape photography

Access

The most common access is on foot from the left side of Geribá Beach, via a short and well-known path that takes about 5 minutes. It is also possible to arrive by water taxi or private boat.

Facilities

Ferradurinha offers good beach support, with nearby restaurants and seasonal beach services, while still maintaining a quieter atmosphere than larger beaches like Geribá.

Trails and natural pools

Coastal trails leave from Ferradurinha toward Praia dos Amores and the Ferradurinha Natural Pools, small rock pools filled by the sea and popular for relaxing and exploring.

Best time to visit

Mornings are ideal, with calmer water and fewer people. Due to its small size, arriving early during high season is recommended.
